What a great discovery. Not only is the food on point but the bill is even better. This restaurant is surprisingly clean with an A rating. The only down fall is the cash only situation. I despise carrying cash, but for the value, I suppose I can make an exception.

I came here one night because I saw photos of the spicy pot of chicken and hand-pulled noodles. It was the best decision I made that day. I've been here probably over 15 times since.

Ambiance:

I wouldn't classify this as a true hole in the wall per say as a lot Chinese restaurants look like this in Chinatown. You're here purely for the food. But it is very clean. Well dressed people come here too.

Food:

The first time I came here, we ordered 9 pieces of the steamed pork and vegetable dumplings. Before I even continue, can I mention that it was $3?!? Where do you find $3 dumplings? Besides Prosperity Dumplings. Anyways, the spicy chili oil on the table went exceptionally well with the dumplings. It tasted homemade and made me feel nostalgic. That may have been the highlight of my meal.

The spicy big tray chicken is probably the signature dish. Remember to ask for noodles and extra noodles. The noodles are hand woven and you can tell because of its imperfection. You can also ask for bak choy to be added. The chicken was tender and fell right off the bone. Not the best chicken but for the price you cannot complain. The dish is actually not that spicy by my standards.

I also ordered the lamb spicy humei noodles, and I was not impressed with the lamb β€”it just did not taste good or anything like lamb. The flavoring was very bland and required additional spicing. I recommend sticking to chicken or beef.

Lastly, they sell those classic old school coconut milk from Vietnam? Thailand? that I haven't had in a decade, which I recommend as it contrasts nicely with spicy food.

2) Soup dumplings

3) Spicy big tray chicken - ask for noodles and extra noodles

4) Spicy chicken humei

Quality:

I think the food quality is solid. I mean for the price what do you expect? It's not all natural organic, but the facility is clean and the noodles are freshly made. I can always tell based on my body's reaction the next day as my stomach can be very sensitive to shit food. No problem the next day. No Cartman and the Chipotle situation.

Price:

$10-$15 per person after tax and tip.

Wait:

I can't imagine this place being anything like a typical New York brunch spot. But the place is small with only 4 or 5 tables. I'd estimate that around peak times the wait shouldn't exceed 15-20 minutes.
